Live Well Children and Young People

We are passionate about supporting whole families to thrive, providing health and wellbeing activities and whole family support.

Live Well Kids

Four days a week we run Live Well Kids after school club for all primary school aged children.
Our aim is to give children a safe and welcoming place to be themselves! We enjoy games and exercise, crafts, mindfulness activities, homework support, art and friendship building! We will be starting our Jubilee project this term and joining Noo Noo’s at The Fulforth Centre for Forest School

We provide a supportive, encouraging, uplifting and fun environment.

Activities within these sessions will be based around the 5 ways to Wellbeing:

– Be Active – fun fitness, group exercise, physical games

– Be Connected – ‘chill and chat’, ‘craft and chat’, access to talk with qualified wellbeing coaches and staff, mental health first aiders, peer and social support

– Be Mindful (take notice) – incorporating mindfulness, sensory and relaxation

– Be Inspired (keep learning) – learning opportunities, new hobby opportunities, learning support from qualified HLTA/NQT’s

– Be Kind (give to others) – developing empathy, compassion and cultivating positive relationships, developing volunteers, being involved in Live Well Your Say steering groups, and community events.

Sessions are a 50p donation – No need to book!

A huge thank you to BBC Children in Need for funding our Live Well Kids Project!

Sensational

SENsational, provides a variety of groups and classes for children and young people with additional needs. Sessions are delivered as follows:

SENsational – Stay, Play, Relax. Our sensory free play allows the children to feel comfortable to explore, enjoy and build friendships in an environment where they can ‘just be’. We incorporate wellbeing steps and relaxation techniques such as sensory circuits, breathing, stretch, massage, affirmations, etc. into free play so that participants learn emotional management techniques to use in day to day life. We finish every session with a relaxation/meditation.

SENsational Strength – Fitness/Exercise. SENsational strength will be a range of differential exercise sessions for children and young people with a range of additional needs. We aim to support building core strength, balance, coordination and fitness in accessible, engaging and fun formats. We offer Boxercise sessions, RockBox and Sensory Circuits.

The interventions we deliver help support children and young people’s physical and emotional wellbeing. We will support children and young people and teach them skills and techniques to improve resilience, self-esteem and confidence, manage emotions, build friendships and relationships.

Our course aims to help improve self-esteem; relationships; confidence; fitness; sleep.
